Tap-Flex tapping screws are dual heat treated, self-tapping fasteners that provide the strength, ductility, and resistance to embrittlement failures required in critical curtain wall and dissimilar metal applications. Tap-Flex tapping screwsare engineered to replace nut and bolt assemblies and Taptite fasteners commonly used in building construction.

The unique E-Form configuration overcomes friction build-up and reduces drive torque. Tap-Flex screws roll forms own their own work-hardened threads in the application to resist loosening cause by vibration or thermal changes

Testing of this product, in accordance with ASTM standards, has proven that Tap-Flex screws provide the same resistance to hydrogen-assisted cracking (HAC) as a Grade 5 screw.
